I cannot think of a duller diary entry than outlining one’s hoped-for career path.

Are you folks even trying these days?

      • Woo, yes. Several times actually, childhood I experienced sleep paralysis often. It felt as if I was always being suffocated in my bed, I’d fight as hard as I could and wake up in a frenetic frenzy. So much that I had begin to sleep on the toilet to “hide” in a sense. My tonsils got removed after my random burst of crying for almost a year, whenever asked I would tell my parents my throat was hurting. One time in particular I vividly remember, a rainy day waiting at the bus stop with my step brother, whom was older than me yet nerdy in school so it was cool to pick on me. He wrote my name on the concrete wall at the corner of our bus stop. My heart raced as I felt very cold and begin to shiver instantly, I was in a haze the full school day and didn’t sleep at all that night. – on the toilet of course, I went to get in my bed in the middle of the night and in the middle of the hallway stood a shadow standing on the floor furnace. I screamed until my dad came to turn on the lights and get me from the hallway. I slept with my parents that night. The rest of that time period is a blur for me now.
